LOCAL DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT PROJECT

AMPARA DISTRICT, EASTERN PROVINCE.

Implementation of nature waste water treatment system at Waste management center in       Sammanthurai Pradeshiya Sabha. LDSP/EP/Amp/StrPS/ NewPT3/2024/02

1. The Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka has received a Credit from the World Bank towards the cost of Local Development Support Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this Credit to payment for Works given in the table below.
2. The Chairman Local Authority Procurement Committee on behalf of the Secretary, Sammanthurai Pradeshiya Sabha invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the works as described in the table below.
3. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) Procedure.
4. To be eligible for contract award, the successful bidder shall not have been blacklisted and shall have been registered in the grade and specialty mentioned in the table below with the Construction Industry Development Authority (CIDA)
5. Qualifications requirements are indicated in section 4 of the bidding Document. Additional details are provided in the Schedule or Bidding Data (Section 5)of the bidding document.
6. Interested bidders may obtain further information from the Secretary, Sammanthurai Pradeshiya Sabha and inspect the bidding documents at the same place on any working days from 9.00 hours to 16.00 hrs.
7. A complete set of bidding documents in English language may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the Secretary, Sammanthurai Pradeshiya Sabha from 05.2024 until 06.06.2024 from 9.00 hours to 15.00 hrs.
8. Bids shall be delivered to Sammanthurai Pradeshiya Sabha on or before 15.00 hrs, on 06.06.2024. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened soon after closing in the presence of the bidder’s representatives who choose to attend.
9. Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid security as per the information given in the table below.
10. A pre-bid meeting will be held at respective Local Authorities on 26^th May 2024 at 14.30 hrs. Interested bidders may participate in this meeting on their own expense.
11. Procurement Committee’s decision is the final on awarding contract.
12. The employer has the right to cancel or withdraw this procurement at any time before awarding the contract.
